Another rendition of Papplewick Village Fayre came and went with success. A total of £277.41 was raised through the hard work of our coaches, players and parents. The first half of the day went smoothly, with good weather holding. The second half, however, was a washout, leaving the event near empty.
Our U10s girls headed out to Matlock last Sunday for the first tournament of the summer, and they did not disappoint with their performance. Securing 2nd place in the group games with 5 clean sheets, they unfortunately fell to sudden death penalties in the semi final after a 0-0 draw with Chesterfield.
As of July 1st, we have been picked by Tesco to have a token box in store, with the chance to raise £1,500 for the club to help give our young players the best start — whether purchasing kits or equipment. If you’re in store, don’t forget to fill it with as many blue tokens…
